How to make wood signs. Chapter 1 (Supplies)

Before we can start making signs we are going to need a few basic tools below is a list of what we need to get started. Listed are the make and models I use and I have found them to be the very best available for many reasons. You of corse can purchase whatever tools meet your budget.

1) Router (Makita 3606)
2) Router Bits (1/4" corbox or round nose)-(Cove Bit)
3) Carpenters Square (Your Choice)
4) Ball point pen (medium blue works best)
5) Jig Saw (Bosch 1587 AVS)
6) Planer (Makita 3" )
7) Belt Sander (Makita 4"*24" 9403)
8) Wood (Redwood works best)
9) Can of flat black spray paint

Now before we go any further I thought you might like to see a quick video. The video below is me Rich Johnson creating a very simple sign start to finish.
